What TIna drinks every morning (especially after over-indulging the night before)

Step aside, breakfast. First and foremost, we need to break the thirst.  The best way to break the thirst? A tall glass of warm lemon water.  This simple, daily habit can make a big difference.

On mornings when I'm feeling extra groggy and sluggish, I'll chug two glasses of this with a pinch of cayenne pepper, which warms and energizes the body, and revs up the metabolism.

Starting each day with warm lemon water:

  • Cleanses the bloodstream and liver.
  • Aids digestion.
  • Clears skin.
  • Boosts the immune system.
  • Stimulates the liver.
  • Reduces inflammation.
  • Balances pH.
  • Makes you feel awesome.

Do this before you brew your coffee, stuff your hand in the cereal box, or even take your shower. I literally shuffle from my bed to my kitchen, eye's half open until, ahhhh, the lemon water reaches my lips and my bod awakens.

I find this especially beneficial on mornings after a night of indulgence, which happens more this time of year. Wake up still feeling full and subsequently sluggish? Lemon water. Wake up bright eyed and ready to conquer the world? Still, lemon water. Feeling a little cold or plugged up? Add a pinch of cayenne pepper to that lemon water.

Raise your lemon water glasses to the simplest of simple habits that go a long, long way.

Cheers.

How to Slice and Juice a Lemon

Until I saw this demonstrated at the farmer's market, I was a lemon waster - never able to get all the juice out and into the bowl or cup it was intended for. This technique is life changing!
