How to eat a good breakfast on busy mornings

On-the-go Oats

Mornings can be busy. Instead of grabbing a high-in-sugar granola bar, grab these oats instead.

1 small mason jar
1/2 c. - rolled oats
1 T. - ground flax
1 date - pitted and chopped
1/8 c. - chopped walnut, almonds, pecans, etc.
3/4 c. - coconut, almond, hemp, or milk of choice
1/2 apple - cut into chunks
1/2 t. - cinnamon

  1. Stir all the ingredients together in a small mason jar. Place jar in the fridge to soak overnight.
  2. Grab in the morning and go! Eat cold or heat up.

About Dates

Dates are a great source of easily digestible carbohydrates. Their sugar content ranges from 60-70 percent. An excellent source of fiber, B vitamins, potassium, and also a very alkaline food, dates make a great sugar substitute.

Ps - jar salads, and a creamy (healthy) chocolate shake
