A lot of people ask us, "Is Voeden just for vegans/vegetarians?" The answer is no. We wanted to take a moment to break down what Voeden means to us, and the philosophy that inspires the recipes we make and the meal plans we create each and every week for you.
First and foremost, "Voeden" means "to nourish" in Dutch.
We believe in a seasonally focused, plant-rich diet that includes fresh, nutrient-dense ingredients, centered around the idea that the foods you eat should energize and nourish your body.
The food you eat should make you feel good!
We like to refer to our dishes as “Diet-agnostic”, meaning, our meal plans are designed around an omnivore’s diet, but meat, dairy, and gluten can be added in or subbed out to suit everyone's needs.
What if you don’t have quinoa? Or brown rice? What if you’ve never heard of tempeh or you really love Italian sausage?
Don’t stress, cooking should be an enjoyable experience, so trust your instincts and embrace your rebellious side. Each recipe has a little wiggle room built in, allowing you to add and adjust the flavors and ingredients as you see fit, and like any good road trip, you’re going to take a few fun detours along the way.
Some of our subscribers use the meal plans as their go-to guide for stress-free dinners, other use it for inspiration for when they are stuck in a rut, making the same dishes over and over again.
Dinners are meant to be a time to reconnect with your friends and loved ones, enjoy life and slow down. Our main mission in life is to help you nourish your body and soul with stress-free, delicious meals the whole family can enjoy....together!
