Crockpot Dump Dinners: 1 hour of prep = 5 freezable crockpot meals

Are you too busy to cook? I got you. 

I tried my hand at these dump dinners and they are LIFE SAVING. 

Here's the deal: buy the ingredients on the grocery list, plan for 1-2 hours of prep, and you will end up with 5 crockpot dinner bags that you can keep in your freezer for your busiest days. 

All these meals are healthy, delicious, and can be made vegan or carnivorous.

Green Lentil Soup


  • 1 small - onion, diced
  • 2 large - garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 - carrots, diced 
  • 1 - celery, diced
  • 4 cups - kale, chopped
  • 2 cups - green lentils
  • 2 - Rapunzel vegetable bouillon cubes
  • 1 t. - dried thyme
  • 1/2 t. - sea salt
  • 1/4 t. - black pepper
  • 1 gallon size freezer zip lock bag
    Meat Version
  • Italian sausage - 1 packaged: sliced into equal sized circles, add to your bag. Simply add a bit more water when cooking time comes. 


  1. Label your freezer bag as follows:

    Green Lentil Soup
    Cooking Instructions:

    Vegetarian: From freezer, dump contents of freezer bag into the crockpot. Add 4 cups of water. Cook on low for 6-8 hours. Serve with a side salad and crusty bread.

    Meat version: The night before, move frozen bag to your refrigerator to thaw. In the morning, dump the contents of the freezer bag into the crock pot. Add 4-5 cups of water. Cook on HIGH for 4 hours, then set to switch to low for the remaining 2-4 hours. Serve with a side salad and crusty bread.

    Use by: _________ (3 month expiration date)
  2. Add all the ingredients, excluding the water, to the bag. 
  3. Remove air from the bag, seal it, and lay it flat in your freezer.
