What's the secret ingredient that will take any dish from average to wow?

Summer Week 5 Meal Plan

Pesto Salmon Salad / Tostadas / Sweet Corn Soup / Pesto Pasta / Hummus Pizza

Hey there!

What's cooking in your kitchen these days? Next week, we are eating all the yummy foods pictured above, but the most important ingredient isn't listed on our grocery list.

Have you ever noticed that your mood when making dinner, impacts how good your dinner tastes?

When I am rushed, stressed, not excited about the dish, or afraid no one will like it, I'm usually left with a pile of dishes and an unsatisfied belly.

But when I infuse my meals with love - feeling excited to share the meal, knowing it's just what we need - everything seems to fall into place. It smells tastier, looks more appetizing, and I'm proud to serve it up.

So if you don't know what to make for dinner next week, and you're tired of the grind, we've got you covered with a perfect pesto that will give new life to your dinner routine (just don't forget the secret ingredient).

This perfect pesto is just what you and your family need to upgrade your meal, get excited about dinner, and feel the love.

Perfect Pesto

Basil is a powerful (and crazy delicious) herb with two flavonoids that protect cell structures. It also has major anti-inflammatory properties (chronic inflammation is the root of many serious illness).  Plus, basil can help beat stress with phytochemicals that may lower cortisol.

Spread this pesto on soba noodles, flatbreads, sandwiches, eggs, soups, salads - all the things.

1/2 c. - pine nuts, walnuts, almonds, or chickpeas (use chickpeas if allergic to nuts)
1/4 c. - cold pressed, extra virgin olive oil
1/4 c. - water
4 - garlic cloves, minced
1/2 c. - pecorino romano cheese OR
2 - 4 T. - nutritional yeast
sea salt and pepper to taste

  1. In a blender or food processor, combine basil , olive oil, water, nuts (or chickpeas if allergic to nuts), and cheese (or nutritional yeast). Taste, and season with sea salt and pepper, or herbs as needed.
  2. Drizzle on salads, soups, soba noodles, pizzas, toast (with tomato!) - all the things.

Ps - I'd love to help you start cooking with love and without stress, so you can feel awesome and feed your family well! Try a free meal plan to get started.
