Why Seasonal Ingredients
Local, in-season ingredients taste the best, are more nutritious, and are better for the environment. And it’s way more fun to flirt with farmers and be connected to the food you are eating. :)
Why Veggie Focused
It’s the one thing we can all agree on - we need more veggies; dark leafy greens and all the colors of the rainbow. The more veggies we eat, the better we feel.
Because every body is different, and needs different things. For example, your children might need more meat than you do, or maybe one family member can’t have cheese.
These recipes can be made a la carte if need be, so they work for everyone. You can add meat into the meals (we tell you how), you can take the gluten free grains out (if you must), and you can add in cheese or a hunk of bread.
We use gluten free grains in some of our recipes; wild or brown rice, quinoa, millet, and some oats. And we leave gluten up to you - have a hunk of bread with your soup, or use wheat based flours for you pizza crust if you’d like. Listen to your body and decide what’s best for you.
But we don’t demonize carbohydrates. They are not the problem. Too many processed grains, sugar, and junk food are. We focus on a balance of whole foods - healthy proteins, healthy carbohydrates, and healthy fats (lots!). All are important macronutrients that we need.
Why Grocery Lists
We believe sourcing and gathering your food is important, fun, and rewarding.
Picking out your veggies from the farmer’s market (or the grocery store), joining a CSA, knowing your farmers, and knowing where your food comes from connects you to your food and nourishes you even more deeply.
The planning and list writing is a bummer. So we do that for you. But the shopping - that’s the good stuff. It’s how you educate your kids (and yourself), it’s how you live in your community. It’s how you take ownership of your health and what you put into your body.

Full refunds are given within the first 20 days of monthly and yearly subscriptions. All we ask is that you tell us why you didn’t like it or didn’t use it. :)
Monthly subscriptions are free to cancel at anytime, and you will no longer be charge.
Yearly subscriptions cannot be refunded after 20 days. But if you are not using your subscription, you may transfer to someone who will.
